Teen Volunteer Days (Ages 12-18)
The Avondale Public Library offers volunteer opportunities for teens every week (except holidays) between 3:00pm and 5:00pm, with additional hours offered for special events. Volunteers under 18 must have a parent/guardian fill out a waiver prior to starting. Otaku Anime & Manga Club (Ages 10-16)
Love anime and manga? Then join the library’s new Anime Club. We will have weekly discussions on manga, watch anime, and learn Japanese words and about the Japanese culture. September Dates: 4th, & 18th
Every other Wednesday (starting May 1st), 5:30pm - 6:30pm, Civic Center Library
Soulful Expressions Open Mic Night (Ages 13+)
Open mic night for Teens and Adults. Soulful Expressions is a safe and supportive environment for poets, musicians, dancers, or any type of art you want to showcase. Performer sign-up and networking begins at 4:30pm; performances start at 5:00pm. Hosted by Speak EZ Poetry on the 2nd Saturday of every month.
