Food 4 Fines: May 1st - May 31st
Through the month of May, Avondale Public Library is partnering with the community to restock the shelves of local food banks with “Food for Fines.” Under the Food for Fines program, library patrons with fines on their accounts may donate non-perishable food items to reduce or pay off their fines. For every non-perishable food item donated, $1.00 will be deducted off a patron’s account – up to a maximum of $50. Donations will be accepted at both Avondale Public Library branches. The food drive, which runs May 1st through May 31st, aims to collect non-perishable food items for local food banks.
